Heather's fascination with pottery began at school and has stayed with her throughout her life. She finds inspiration in the tactile pleasure of handling clay and exploring how it can be manipulated.
'Although modern technology has influenced the way that some processes are performed the way that pots are actually made has hardly changed for centuries. I find it deeply moving to realise that I am part of a brotherhood of potters going back to man's earliest history'
