'I have painted for as long as I can remember and have concentrated on watercolours for 25years. When I was taught, it was very much a hands-off approach by my tutors, I have been very lucky in that I have had the chance to experiment and discover personally and, although my basic style has not really altered over the years, my confidence and freedom with the paint certainly has.

I paint flowers,large and loose and splashy, and scenes of places I have enjoyed. I will often paint these subjects several times, pushing the limits towards abstract, and thus create a series which I find interesting.I love both colour and painting, and hope this shows in my work. One of my aims throughout is to create paintings of sufficient interest that they can be observed over the years and continue to give pleasure.'
